Restoration of Grossdale Station
Much work has already been done, however, some major projects remain such as additional brick work, restoration of the slate siding and roofing and renovation of the second floor. Recent work completed includes the restoration of the gingerbread around the platform and installation of the attic windows that had been removed in remodeling.
Memorabilia Collection Display
Items relating to Brookfield's past and its people are solicited, cataloged and displayed in the Station to help visualize and remember our town's past.
We plan to compile an accurate historical record of any organizations and significant activities in the Village. We also plan to catalog the various architectural styles represented in Brookfield.
In previous years, the Society and Library have jointly sponsored a "Words Passed" program. Today, many of the family biographies can be found in the Brookfield History Book.
As old photographs are donated to the Society, they are organized to present a pictorial record of the area.
